People have an extraordinary understanding of the world around us. With no formal teaching we have a refined sense of balance, strength and scale. But when we encounter an exception to the rule it can provide excitement and reward. Objects which surprise in their use of materials, dimensions or tactility provide a significant stimulus to my experimentation and design.
